We are a specialty practice utilizing traditional and cutting edge techniques in the fields of Chiropractic, Quantum Neurology TM & Cold Laser/ Light therapies.
The treatments involves the use of traditional neurological, kinesiology, and functional tests. Joints are tested for limitations in motion and gently adjusted to restore optimal function. Hidden weaknesses that prevent healing and energy flow in the body are detected, and then corrected with light or cold laser therapy, and adjustments with the Arthrostim. Treatments improves function of myotomes, cranial nerves and the sensory nervous system.
Light therapy is well known for its healing effects on the body, notably with oxygenation, lymphatic activity, blood flow, cellular metabolism and repair, inflammation, pain, and healing.
Dr. Robert Schick has been practicing chiropractic since 1991, first in Walnut Creek, then moving the clinic to Pleasant Hill in 2001 where it currently is located. With more than 20 years of practice, Dr Robert has seen a wide variety of patients with chiropractic issues.
Dr Robert graduated from the University of California at Davis and after that received his chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic –West, in Sunnyvale, California. He graduated in 1990 and received his license to practice chiropractic in 1991.
Dr. Robert regularly pursues continuing education and has become certified in both Quantum Neurology and Network Spinal Analysis. Many extra hours of continuing education are taken each year in excess of the California Board of Chiropractic Examiners requirements.
Dr. Robert is a long standing member of the California Chiropractic Association and of the Contra Costa Chiropractic Association.
Dr. Robert was born and raised in San Francisco. While attending chiropractic school he met his future wife, Kirsten. They married in 1990, have 8 year old twin daughters and reside in Walnut Creek. Dr Robert adores his daughters, Jacalyn and Jayme, he likes hiking in the local parks and enjoys his morning workouts at the gym.
Dr. Kirsten Schick has been practicing chiropractic for 21 years, in our Pleasant Hill and Antioch clinics. Families with children have been receiving care and the “children” are now bringing in their children. Dr. Kirsten has been helping patients of all ages achieve their goals of better health.
Dr Kirsten received her chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic –West, in Sunnyvale, California. She graduated in 1990 and received her license to practice chiropractic in 1991.
It is very important for Dr. Kirsten to stay ahead with current and new advances in chiropractic. She regularly attends continuing education classes and in addition has studied Quantum Neurology, Network Spinal Analysis and animal chiropractic methods. It is through this unique combination of work that she has been able to apply her work to animals, most specifically horses, but also dogs, cats and the occasional goat.
Dr. Kirsten is a long standing member of the California Chiropractic Association and of the Contra Costa Chiropractic Association.
Dr. Kirsten is an avid horsewoman; having grown up riding horses and she continues to be active in the sport with her 10 year old Arabian gelding Canyon. Kirsten and Canyon have endeavored in dressage and trail/endurance riding. They have succesfully completed several 30 and 50 mile rides.
Dr. Kirsten grew up in Denmark. She came to this country in 1985 and started chiropractic school at Palmer College Of Chiropractic-west. There she met her future husband Robert Schick, they married in 1990, reside in Walnut Creek and have twin daughters; Jacalyn & Jayme, a Ragdoll cat, Leo, and their horse, Canyon.
