........ My first visit with Kirsten was in 2008 when my horse was having some left side stiffness. Kirsten's treatment made a significant difference in Rizzi's suppleness and flexibility. Follow up visits continued to improve his development. I was so impressed by the changes Kirsten's work made on Rizzi, I wanted to see if she could help with some of my own stiff, locked up joints and muscles. After just a couple of treatments, the difference in my position and flexibility exceeded my expectations. I have now been working with Kirsten every 3-4 weeks for almost a year. The changes in my seat have also improved my balance and the effectiveness of my aides. Most importantly, the regular treatments have made my body is more resilient to the physical demands of riding. I now consider my work with Kirsten an integral part of my riding program.

Kirsten did magic for my mare Ima Charming Link, I was beginning to have problems with her going in the gate and bucking at barrel races. At the time Kirsten was just starting her studies on horses. I talked to her and she asked if she could use charm as an experiment horse and I agreed. Charm had a few known problems that were getting in the way of her performance, she was very muscle bound thus not allowing her to get enough air to her lungs and only to her muscles, she was short strided because of her muscles, and she had starting signs of navicular. Kirsten worked on Charm for a little over a year. Charm and I where running a second faster then normal, she was not sore, no more bucking and when I took her to the vet the navicular had positive changes! Within that year Charm and I won checks everywhere we went, and numerous titles including NBHA John Deere Vegas super show champion! She also worked on my mare Cassie, Cassie was a really hot horse who constantly ran through her bits. With Kirsten's work I was able to calmly ride her in the arena without worrying about her running off. My Horse Nicky had numerous large and small Eosinophilic Granulomas on his withers...he was first treated with injections into the larger granulomas however, after reappearing my Veterinarian suggested I contact Kirsten Schick, D.C., that she had good results with her treatments of these granulomas...I contacted Kirsten and she began treatments, a combination of light therapy and an advanced chiropractic neurology technique...her last treatment was in July 2009 and the granulomas have not returned..I am very pleased with the results and I am sure Nicky is too since that area is where the saddle rested on his withers.. Shortly after I acquired my mare, Maya, and we started dressage lessons, she developed 6-8 bumps on her spine and back. My vet said they often occur by ill fitting saddles. I had just gotten my first dressage saddle which was used and not the best fit for her. My vet also said the bumps generally do not go away unless surgically removed. That wasn't necessary unless they got extremely large making it very sore for the horse under saddle.
I purchased a better fitting saddle and contacted Dr. Kirsten Schick. She applied her lazer technology on Maya. She treated her a couple of times and I noticed immediate results. All the bumps started to shrink. She treated her a few more times over a period of several weeks and the bumps continued to shrink. The bigger ones (quarter size) were down to dime size and the dime size ones even smaller. Now, I feel they are entirely gone.
Dr. Schick's use of lazer treatment has been fascinating but more importantly, highly effective. My horse has done exceptionally well and I believe the reason is that the treatment has worked.
I am extremely grateful to Dr. Schick and her smart, progressive approach to equine therapies.
